Lovely Card Creations from a Fellow Crafty Blogger

Today I experienced one of the most touching moments since I've started this blog. A routine trip to the mailbox turned up a package from one of my Twitter friends, Rachel from TwitterRWCrafts. Since I recently shared my pregnancy news, she sent this adorable, handmade baby card.

Also in the package were these cute Thank You cards, which will surely come in handy over the next few months, since we've already started receiving baby gifts!

 

Rachel also used her crafty skills to create this cute photo album - I can't wait to put some pictures of this little one in there. 

It's funny, we went from talking about getting pregnant to actually getting the house ready for a baby! While some of my friends are excited to get their baby stuff out of the house and pass it along to us, I love seeing the house slowly transform. Even though it means I have to start moving all the breakables to higher shelves ;)

Amazing Creations with Hot Glue

I've posted projects and updates from my good friend Dr. Grymm in the past but here is a creation that will blow your mind! Fish Boy is made entirely of aluminum foil and hot glue, finished with some funky paint colors and sealed with clear spray paint. He measures almost 3 feet long! Here is a small picture before he finds his permanent home. (picture below)

This piece will be featured at the Pirates of the Hudson event in Sleepy Hollow, in Dr. Grymm's Museum of Oddities during the upcoming 4th of July weekend.

Featured Artist: Dr. Grymm

Today I would like to try something a little different and introduce you to one of the most talked about Steampunk artists around - the amazing Dr. Grymm. His work was recently included in an online feature titled "Thirteen Astonishing Pairs of Steampunk Goggles" by 1-800-Recycling. The industrial sewing goggles were made for his dear wife, Mrs. Grymm and are my favorite of the group!

Dr. Grymm's work has been displayed everywhere from Oxford, England to Las Vegas to the Steampunk World Fair in New Jersey. 

You might even recognize this Eye-Pod from the Black Cards video for Club Called Heaven.
